Peace, space and privacy!!! In the middle of a dazzling landscape lies Casa Ofelia, a very special house with a casita. The houses are completely self-sufficient due to the solar panels and a water source. The dirt track from the paved road to the house is approximately 2.5 kilometers and can be driven with a normal passenger car, no 4×4 is needed, see the last pictures of the road in the gallery. The houses are approximately 300 years old and of course completely renovated. Many of the authentic materials have been preserved. Casa Ofelia is located at an altitude of 400 meters. The main house has a large veranda (15 m. x 5 m.) with a view of the heated swimming pool (10 m. x 5 m.). There is a separate toilet next to the pool.The spacious kitchen is fully equipped and has patio doors to the veranda. On the ground floor are a dining room, living room, a bedroom and a bathroom. There is also a spacious garage and various storage rooms. On the first floor there are three bedrooms and two bathrooms, one of which is ensuite. To the side of the house is a vegetable garden with a small shed and a greenhouse. The total area of ​​the house is 450 m2 and it is located on a plot of 30,000 m2. The houses have water from the municipality of Riogordo and there is a well. There are also two water deposits: one of 30,000 liters with water from the municipality of Riogordo and one of 20,000 liters with rainwater. Heating by a wood stove, pellet stove and air conditioning in the main bedroom. The property is fenced and there is an electric gate. The carport on the side of the house has a roof with solar panels.

The second house, a bungalow, is smaller, 150 m2. This house is also about 300 years old and completely renovated. There are three bedrooms and one bathroom. The house is heated by gas and two airconditionig units. Electricity: solar and main. The smaller house is about 200 meters from the large house.

The houses are located in the municipality of Almachar, but the village of Riogordo is closer. About 10 minutes drive. Riogordo is a small town and municipality of around 3,000 inhabitants in Malaga province in the autonomous community of Andalusia  in southern Spain. It is situated in the centre of the comarca of Axarquia. In Riogordo is everything you need: there are bakeries, small supermarkets, butchers, a fish shop, restaurants and bars, a pharmacy, a school and a public swimming pool. In Colmenar (10 kilometers from Riogordo)  is a 24-hour medical post. From Riogordo it is half an hour’s drive to the beach (Torre del Mar) and a 45-minute drive to the beautiful city of Málaga and the airport. There is a bus to Málaga eight times a day.
