You can visit the Selwo natural park, El Chorro lakes, behind the hills of Malaga and even go skiing in the Sierra Nevada in less than 2 hours drive!

There is a tourist train which stops at the end of the street, throughout the day, to take clients to and from the beach.

The nearby city of Malaga is magnificent with its historic old town, the very glamorous Calle Larios with trendy shops, boutiques and the Picasso Museum. The picturesque mountain Village of Mijas with its famous donkey-taxi is only 15 minutes by car. You can also easily visit the elegant areas of Puerto Banus and Marbella and travel to Gibraltar.

Calahonda is located between the mountains and the sea. The centre of Calahonda has hundreds of bars, cafés and restaurants. There are many international restaurants. There is a wide selection of shops. You can visit the Tivoli world amusement park for children that is situated in Arroyo de la Miel. Fuengirola Zoo is nearby, as well as the marine park Sea World. Located a few kilometres along the road is Puerto Cabopino, which has the reputation of being the most intimate and picturesque port on the Costa del Sol and is a popular place for tourists who want to enjoy a good meal before they enjoy a stroll along its sandy beaches. Some of the most popular resuaurants, such as Albertos and Pizzeria Gggg, are located here. Nearby are the natural sand dunes, or if you are looking for a resort with more facilities, you can choose Fuengirola to the east or Marbella to the west, where you will find great beaches and recreation galore. There is a wide selection of golf courses in the area of Calahonda. Calahonda has a subtropical Mediterranean climate, with warm summers and temperate winters.
